Is the fish suitable for home freezing?
Yes, but ensure you separate individual fresh fillets and whole fish or prepare the fish to your requirements before freezing.  Recommended storage times are given on our web site for each product but will be dependant on the star rating of your freezer. We recommend that you refer to the guidelines given by the manufacturer of your appliance.

To retain the quality and freshness of your fish when freezing we recommend that you follow the instructions below:

Wrap tightly with cling film or freezer bags, removing as much air as possible and overwrap with a layer of aluminium foil for extra protection if required.

Alternatively, lay fish flat on a tray and place in the freezer. Once frozen you may wish to add an ice glaze by running cold water over the fish, this will produce a protective coating which will help prevent dehydration in the freezer. Finish by wrapping as above.

If you are freezing our fish we recommend that you store it at -20°C or below and consume within 3-4 months in order to enjoy it at its best.
